Economists attend "Lessons in Leadership Masterclass" with Julian Dunkerton

This month, a group of First and Second Year Economists, accompanied by their teacher Majella White, attended a "Lessons in Leadership Masterclass" at NMITE in Hereford. Guests were welcomed by Professor Gary Wood, Academic Director at NMITE who then hosted a conversation with Julian Dunkerton, the co-founder and CEO of Superdry Plc.
Julian moved to Hereford from London when he was a teenager and initially started out selling clothing from a market stall. Julian told the remarkable story of his business journey, and how, over a number of years, he grew his business into the global brand it is today. He spoke of the challenges he faced on that journey and how he overcame them.
At the end of the session, students had the opportunity to put their questions to Julian, and to learn about his future plans for the brand. The students found the evening informative and inspiring and were thrilled to meet and speak with Julian.
