Local connection for Student Council raising funds for Children in Need
Posted on 18th November 2022
Staff and Students have donned their Pudsey ears today, raising crucial funds for Children in Need. The Student Council organised a bake sale to run throughout the day which raised an incredible £300!
This year's fundraising efforts are extra special as BBC Children in Need has chosen to focus on the support given to a local family, two members of whom are also invaluable members of the team at 91亚色. Student Mentor and Medial Liaison Officer Emma Horton and elder daughter, Learning Support Assistant Kirsten both feature in the short video, focusing on the help the family receives through Marches Family Network, which younger daughter and sister, Ruby, attends.
Through their work the Marches Family Network aim to:
- Empower children, young people and their families
- Support children and young people with disabilities to reach their full potential
- Raise disability awareness
- Promote social inclusion
